Jdm SIR problems
A friend of mines is having a prob. with his car.
He recently changed his timing belt and after he was getting a code 3 and 6.
He went back to the shop and they took back off the belt and re-set everything and put it back up and they were still getting the codes. The mechanic decide to swap the dizzy and the codes went away but when the dizzy is set to stock timing the car idles very ruff. To solve the idle prob. they set the dizzy to full retard(towards the front of the car).
My friend said even though it is set that way the car is pulling strong. Can the timing still be off. Also the Mechanic suspect that it may have performance cams in it.
Could he be right, The car did not come with adj. cam gears.
