Jdm s1 tranny
hey i put what is supposed to be a jdm s1 transmission on my b18c1 crx.
When i shift from 4th gear into 5th gear it always feels like 5th gear is shorter than my 4th. Does anyone know why 5th would feel shorter than 4th?
Its just all around weird

a B16 S1 tranny has short gearing (close to a type-R tranny's gear ratio) to begin with.....
I don't think your 5th is shorter than your 4th otherwise if you shifted from 4th to 5th your revs would become higher, as if you were down shifting.

well i went to test it and i figured out that the shifter goes like this
1st--3rd-------5th
not 1st--3rd--5th
the shifter needs to be jammed to the right to get into gear.
oh and the jdm s1 is

JDM J1 and S1's are
in my book. At around 80mph i would be at 5500RPM's on the interstate, not too desireable for interstate driving, but great around town and 1/4 mile runs.
no 5th gear is the price you pay for short gear ratio's.
