I am putting a USDM 94 b18c1 into 96 Civic EX. We have an OBD1 JDM P72 ecu.

My questions is, what are the wiring differences between a JDM and USDM? Will the knock sensor wiring be the same? How about the vtec pins?

My main question however is, what does the JDM ecu send as a trigger for the IAB's? Is it ground like the USDM ecu or is it 12v?

So all of the JDM outputs are the same as the USDM? Your 100% sure that a17 is IAB and fires ground?

 

will it plug into a b18c1 motor?
what error codes will it throw up?
knock sensor?
etc?

it will work for usdm cars...if your obd1 it will just plug in...if your obd2 then you just need a jumper harness from obd2 to obd1....plug and play
