JDM ITR axles question
my question is i have a 99 civic dx hatch and im putting a 96 spec itr in my car well all i need left is the axles ...i was told that i would have a problem putting 98 jdm itrs in my hub cause they are way thicker...is that true? i was also told the 97 usdm ones would fit...is that true as well...thanks again.
The JDM five lug axles has a larger outer joint. You can use any 94+ Integra axle, 99-00 Si, or Del Sol vtec from 93-97.
And yes you can use any of the other axles on the JDM halfshaft, only the outer joint is bigger.

Just for reference it's a 36mm spline/hub. We stopped doing JDM 5 lug swaps after Lane's FI motor because it's a pain in the *** when you break those axles as they're not as easy to attain or make.
thanks for your help guys...ok if it were u if your options were a 94+ gsr axles with 5000 miles or itr axles with 17,000 which would u pick? aslo already had a intermediate shaft from a 96 jdm itr but it has random miles all u know is under 40k would u just use that or buy the 97 usdm one with the axles?

You're not really going to have any advantage either way so it's up to you, mileage isn't a huge factor either unless they've already been put under a lot of stress (i.e. lots of launching, etc.). I personally would just use the GSR and the stock halfshaft as they rarely wear out. You aren't converting to 5 lug with the 36mm hub, correct?
