the jdm type r distributor has a different plug (just one). im using a gsr wiring harness(from a 1995 and has 2 plugs). how do i make this work? thanks

these are the minimum requirments for postinga question.
we cant help you unless we know these things.

1) what car do you drive
2) what year
3) what motor
4) what ecu

im gUESSING its an R motor in an obdI teg.

 

soweee, i thought i put all the info, here it is:
-93 dx civic hatch
-jdm type r motor
-using a gsr('95, obd1) wiring harness
-ecu from sohfast (i think its p28) reprogrammed to R spec

in 96 honda combined the two plugs into one.
it would probably be easier if you got a 92-95 distributor. or you can just
repin the one you have.

 

so w/c distributor do i need, the one for gsr or i can just use the one from the civic dx?
-how do i repin since the colors are different compared to the gsr harness? the lower portion of it (2 wires) are easy to swap since the colors are the same but the top portion are different. thanks

 

The colors should be the same.
If you want to swap distributors, you will want to get a 92-95 gsr or del sol vtec
