i just purchased a motor from steve at hmotoronline and i'm wanting to get an intake manifold for it. i know there's been LOTS of threads about skunk 2 im and blox and aebs and what not. but just Straight up. ANyone...if you had this set up. i/h/e/ctr cams....which Intake mani would perform the best? THanks for helps anyone!!

Stock manifold is a pretty good piece.Your not going to see any big increase with any of them on a stock cc b16.

Word. The intakes off the newer b16s are about the best your gonna get without extensive mods.

From what I've heard, the AEBS manifolds make great power, and they're cheaper than a S2 IM... Might want to look into that. IMO, would be a worthy investment since you're running bigger cams, a header.. etc.

 

I've got a B16A3 with CTR cams, Type R LMA's, Apexi SS header, mugen intake. Then I put on a spoon venturi plate and my intake cracked so I got a new Type R Intake from Steve and a used Type R throttle body and I could not be more happy. I myself like to stick with OEM items if possible. Good luck with your project.
