JDM B16 Bar questions. Help needed
Got a Ref ticket a while back for my b20/vtec. Ive swapped a jdm b16 in the crx. I currently have got all the parts I need now to pass visual inspection.
When they put the car on the rolling smog test, my NOX came out to 2711. Passing is like 874 or something. My other numbers were ok, just my NOX is really bad. I've researched this whole job and know that JDM B16s are especially hard to bar do to high compression but also that people DO get it done.
So my question is, is 2711 ppm just too high to bring down? Even with new spark plugs, cap, o2 sensor, fuel additives and brand new catalytic converter will the motor still not pass? I guess I'm interested particularly with peoples experiences doing this.
I dont know what to do now, give it a shot or just swap for a d-series.
