Default ITR valve spring q's.

I have ITR cams and I want some better valvesprings so i can rev afew hundred rpm higher. I have been told to purchase ITR intake valvesprings (dual spring) and move my stock intake valvesprings (dual springs) to the exhaust side (single sping) Is this a good thing to do? JDM b16a1 head btw.

I want to rev to approx 8300-8500.

Just buy a set of TODA Valvesprings and you can rev to the moon. It's a couple hundred dollars more than what you are looking for. Get some Titanium Valve Retainers and you're ready for Aftermarket Cams in the future. Just make sure to check your timing belt more often or even upgrade to the Power Enterprise or TODA timing belt.

you will loose power with a stiffer spring then needed. i have itr valve springs and rev to 9100.
i have heard they are safe to 9300
itr's will work fine
trust me

Yes, thats a good plan because the ITR exhaust and the stock b16a intake valve springs are the same, this is what I plan to do. You'll be able to rev well past the point where you start losing power.

Your talking about dyno power right? I forgot dyno's mean everything. This might sound dumb but remember the old saying "measure the area beneath the curve?" Well if you have more revs wouldn't that mean you would have more area? Just like in my car, it makes its peak power around 7900RPMs and slowly drop, but if I were to shift at that point, I would drop lower in the RPM range and thus lose more time than if I were to shift at it's 8,400 RPM redline and fall into a good power range. I'm not saying that having a super high revving motor is going to be quick all the time because if your motor makes peak power/torque at around 5000RPMs there is not point to try and rev it to 9300RPMs. Stiffer springs help combat valve float at high RPMs, thus protecting your engine. I understand that there is a such thing as too stiff. But in my ITR, those TODA Valvesprings are just fine.

i dont take it that high 9300 that is i have taken it to 9000 before. i can feel power die off at about 8500 so i **** at about 8700 keeps me in the power with my gsr tranny.
soon to be portflows and jun 3's or skunk 2's itr cams just dont quinch my thirst any more
