itr trans??

Default itr trans??

would a type r transmission be good for an ls'vtec motor? ive heard good things bout the gsr tranny for boost and the si tranny for all motor...but does anyone know if the type r would work better or not?

The SI has the shortest gear ratios.

The Type R is good as well, but, you can just save your money and get the SI tranny.

yes it would be good for all motor lsvtec, i think its about the same gearing as the si plus lsd

actually Spade the jdm ITR would be the best choice. Next is the usdm ITR tranny.
There are questions about the Si tranny. Some say they have pulled it apart and it has the ITR 4.4 fd, some say it has the ls fd w/ different 5th gear. Some say its the same as the usdm ITR tranny minus the LSD, and some say it's its own tranny.

Either one will be great.

You can get the Si tranny for less, but then again, it has no LSD. So, if you plan on adding an LSD to the Si trans you'll probably end up spending more than if you just got the ITR....... Just my .02

yeah i kno the si has the shortest gears and is best for non trubo set ups, but my real question is since i plan on goin with boost, would the itr trans be a good idea?

no the best IMO for boost is GSR. Its not so long like the LS trannies, but long enough to keep you boosting. For boost either LS or GSR, but I say GSR.
