Default itr tranny ?

ok i need to know the difference between the jdm itr and usdm itr tranny. does the usdm not come with 4.78 fd or do some of them? how can you tell which one is which? i just bought one and was told it had the 4.78 fd but how do i know for sure? it does feel alot better and 4th gear pulls like 3rd but is there really any way to know!? are there any codes or anything on the case? thanks

You are right, JDM = 4.785 FD, USDM = 4.400, this is for the 98+ JDM trannys, 97 and back all itr trannys (jdm and usdm) had the 4.4FD.

my tranny is a 2000. but i'm not sure if it's jdm or usdm. wondering if there are codes on the case or if i can find out by the # on the tranny

What RPM in 5th at 80mph?

On my usdm tranny (98) I'm around 4200ish rpm.

keep in mind, your speed/rpm ratio also depends on your wheel size.

yeah i have stock wheels and tires off of a 03 Si, which are almost the same size as my orig. except they are 195/60/15 opposed to org. 195/55/15

jdm 98 spec type r tranny the 4th and 5th are like gsr
with the 4.7

and the usdm 4.4 with a shorter 4th and 5th like the sc4
