i have an 01 itr with basic mods. i few months ago, i began to have problems with it.. after riding down the interstate, at around 80, engine is warmed up, the car began to buck. if the gas was pushed in it would not respond. the car just "cuts out" - that's really the only way i can describe it. this only happens when the tach is around 4 grand. it eventually got to the point where my car would be hard to start or would not start at all in the mornings (esp cold mornings).... after dealing with acura and talking to other people with similar problems... it was eventually decided to replace, spark plugs, distributor button, ignitor, and coil.. the problem stopped for awhile.. but now..it's back.... any suggestions on what could be causing this would be appreciated!

 

fuel filter? can you get a hold of a different ecu and swap just to test?

 

A bad MAP sensor or TPS sensor can have similar symptoms.

 

Have someone test your fuel pump...

And the fuel filter definetely replace that thing.

No CEL?

 

the fuel filter was replaced 10000 miles ago.... i think i'm going to replace it again and see what happens.. thanks guys!
