ITR oil cooler on B18A block

ITR oil cooler on B18A block
I've got an ITR oil cooler I'd like to use with my B18A. It looks like the oil cooler bolt replaces the threaded piece that the filter attaches to on the block - can this be removed and the ITR piece installed? How should I install this? Thanks.
