ITR head on b16a?
just curious if a ITR head will work on a b16a? if so what modifications will i have to do?
is this worth it or should i just put the ITR internals in the b16a with the stock head?

yes it will fit. no mods. it is the exact same head except the ITR is mildly port polished. CTR=ITR=B16A + port polish.

so the ITR head will make more power than itr internals i in the b16?
if head internals...
yes it will make more power than a stock b16a head. The power mainly coming from the camshafts, light port job, and R manifold. The R valvesprings and lightened intake valves help relieve some dead weight lingering in the valvetrain and actually allows about 200rpm more of higher reving.
if block internals are what you speak of...
1) putting a Type-R or any 1.8L crank in a b16a block is dumb. You'll have awful rod ratio on top of $$ you'll be wasting to get that damn thing to fit the 1.6 block.
2) you'll have to pay $$ to get custom rods made to work with the ITR crank in the 1.6 block.
3) you'll have better compression with the stock B16A pistons vs. the R pistons....unless you go CIVIC-R pistons.
I don't know....the B18C5 head has bigger ports and stuff because the rod ratio of the block can use it at lower engine speed. The B16 just breathes differently. Id say just upgrade the valvetrain if you want bigger cams and whatnot, I mean you could get that baby spinning faster than a B18C5.
