IM JUST A LITTLE CONFUSED.
GOT THIS INFO FROM A FEW WEBSITES.

98 Spec-R 210 bhp @ 8100

96 spec 200 bhp @ 8100


BUT PASSWORDJDM SHOWS THAT A 98 SPEC MOTOR HAS 200 HP!!!!????

B18C-R OBD2 98+ Spec Motor Swap (LSD), 1797cc, DOHC VTEC, 200 bhp @ 8100 rpm

so is there 2 different 98 spec engines???? 200hp and 210hp ???

im trying to buy an itr engine and im just trying to get the one that has the most HP.

Both engines are rated at 200ps, I think. I know the 98+ spec ITR has better cams, a 4-1 header, and the final drive is different. The 98+ tend to put down a little more in the torque department. I'd get the 98+ if you are set on buying one of the two.

200ps is how they are rated in Japan. It would equal 197hp, but most people just use 200ps and say its 200hp.

 

B18C = 210 hp/ps -jdm
B18C5 = 200 hp/ps -usdm
