Default itr engine in gsr

Hey folks...I was planning on rebuilding my gsr bottom end and just put an itr head on it(with higher comp pistons) but I may be able to get a great(fantastic) deal on a itr bottom end. If the itr bottom end is in good shape(around 100,000km on it) then I was thinking of mating that with the itr head...Well here is the thing...I have a 94 gsr. Does anyone know if I am going to encounter any problems with this(using gsr tranny) especially with sensors or computer/harnesses. I am using an itr intake manifold.
Any comments are welcome.

I would just keep your stock GSR head and get it a nice p&p done to it for the price of the R head. As for the bottem end, rebuild it. As for all the wiring if you do decide to swap over, as long as the motors are the same OBD you should be ok. The tranny will fit just fine.

I don't know what year the itr bottom end is. As for the head, I already have the itr head. Thing is my gsr engine is worn and needs a rebuild but I don't want to have my car off the road for a long time. I was thinking of getting an engine ready and they switching them. If obd2 blocks(wtf) or whatever are going to pose a problem then I will probably just switch heads and rebuild my bottom end. But that is not the easies route.

I think that the ITR head is 0BD2 (not sure) but find out what OBD the bottom end is, then go from there.

Being a 94 gsr, the ITR will not be the same OBD.

However you can use your GSR distributor, fuel injectors and all of them, no need to convert to OBD2. Wiring will go right on.

So what you are saying is that If I decide to swap my engine for an itr engine that everything will bolt up and plug in as long as I use the gsr distributor, fuel injectors ...

coolio

that helps me out, thanks
