i just installed the jdm type R 4-1 headers into the crx and now i ran into some major probs.

first off...the guy at the muffler shop cut the crossmember in order to fit the headers. now the crossmember is twisting. i heard that Place Racing has the right crosss member for this install. anybody recommend this crossmember? anybody know how much it is?

and last...these headers hang way low on my car. the first day i took it out i smacked somthing real hard and now i got a fatty dent on one of the pipes. can this be fixed or am i pretty screwed?

i have the jdm DC header on my ls/vtec in my crx and i when i notched the x-member, i only cut off the 'lip' of it and everything is fine, he must have cut a lot off

ive heard a lot of people complain about the place racing x-member, but have not dealt with it personally

as far as the dent, learn to live with it and avoid big bumps, etc and make a skid plate or guard of some sort

 

get z10 lower x-member or else the sucky PlaceRacing cowcatcher one like I have which will restore strength to the bottom end.........
