Default Interesting in Hondata.

After a lot of engine swaps, wana did next step in to tuning.
Because there are some problems, which can be turn away only with program able devices. No expirence in that way. I must to teach for fuel/air maping very fast. No concurrent in this way here around. Nobody instal chap sytems. Especialy for Honda, nothing clouse. So, I have all open roads. Thats why searching in web, talking with local dyno ovners and must to start understand something. There are nothing difficult or impossible. Read almust all Hondata page, there are some explining and teach. Hear only one side expirence, that this sytem is very good and there are nothin better.....bla...bla....bla.......
Could be great hear more good and bad info about Hondata sytems.

You won't go wrong with Hondata. There are other options, but Hondata offers good drivability and reliability. If you want all the options and tune it your self it is not the cheapest.AEM offers a competitive unit but reliability doesn't seem as good and idle quality is harder to achieve.

If you are interested in trying to tune a programable ECU by yourself, I would suggest you put together an Uberdata setup. It has all the basic functionality of Hondata, but it's completely free.

Thank's. Did you know some non real time maping programs for chip tuning? I gues I will go with Hondata any way. But non real time programs have some interest for me too. Going to buy wideband lamda for begining. Wana see some AFR numbers by my self.

Problem.

Need to tune up the OBD-0 ECU. Instal Turbo system on D16A6 engine. Stock original ECU.

Hondata no longer support OBD-0. WHAT to do. Which OBD-1 could suport this engine. Can we use from US civic 92-95 coupe non VTEC OBD-1 ECU from D15 engine?

We need to change the 1 wire O2 to 4 wire O2 sensor and Distributor.

I'd highly recommend that you go to the PGMFI web site and read through the stuff there.

I have seen 3 hondata units fail so far this month, I have never seen an AEM unit fail.. All the cars that I tune with the AEM EMS idle perfectly, it just a matter or understanding what the idle parameters are and you can make it work perfectly..

I'm going to buy the wideband lamda. To undertand the AFR process in ECU.

I can't decide how to start. I know the what kind of chips I can use in stock ECU. i can buy them here. What do I need to do next?

Understanding how air/fuel works and how ignition timing works and all that is the first step to tuning..

If you get your ecu socketed and buy the atmel 29c256 chips your also going to need a burner and the turboedit or uberdata software.. I would look at the software and get used to it..

TurboEDIT is for OBD-0 ECU's and Uberdata is for OBD-1 ECU's.

Thats greate. My friend rebuild the EF civic 1.5 mono to D16A6 turbo. I did the wiring for his car. He is ready to invest in manegment. Turbo edit and Atlem chip will work for his setup. He have brand new Garret 25 instaled. We use Nissan 200sx 375 injectors with resitor.

So, Turboedit+Atmel chip and Bosch Dyno I can help him?
