I was wondering wat would be the best intake manifold for my 97 Teg LS.?? Do type R manifolds bolt on?? Skunk2? which are better and do they bolt on perfectly without further modification.?? thanks.

 

ITR doesn't bolt on costs about $220 + modifications ($50+), skunk2 is based on ITR but slightly enlarged.....so defiantly better plus it bolts on....and cost only $20-60 more only.....

 

bigger isn't always better.

especially with an N/A motor.

 

The Skunk2 is a ITR manifold it is manufactured by the same company that makes the ITR manifold for Honda Japan, but with a diffent bolt pattern. And yes it is a very good upgrade, but only if you are running serious cams.

 

Skunk2 would be a good upgrade for you LS but I am not to sure if they make it from the same place as where honda makes their ITR manifolds, I think that is false. But it doesn't matter the quality is still very good. If you are looking to make some good power with the LS, WEB CARB cams would be the ones to go with your skunk2 manifold. It will have bad idle though.

 

Well yes they are made by the same company that makes them for Honda, the company is located in Japan and skunk imports them from their. I was a distributor for skunk stuff and if you call them up and ask directly they will confirm.
