Default Intake manifold leak

Hey, i replaced my gasket to see if the IM still had a vacuum leak, and still is leaking, i sprayed a little water around the flange and you clearly hear the water get sucked in, should i put rtv sealant on both sides of the gaket to make it seal properly ??

Btw, i just installed the edelbrock turbo kit, and it's the performer x IM that's making me get this vacuum leak ??

thanks for the help !!

when you replaced the gasket did you scrape off and clean the mounting location on the im as well as the head? if remnants were there it could cause it not to seal properly.

This is usually the case. ^^

I wouldn't rely on just putting some RTV gasketmaker around there, especially if you are turbocharged.
