Default intake manifold?

I have a Y8 engine with all the basic bolt on's and I was wondering, if I installed an aftermarket intake manifold, would it provide me any more benifits than I have now? Or is it just a waste? I've heard both good and bad things.

you would feel a little more power but not near as much as if it were forced induction or a good a all-motor setup. but if you do go with one i would say skunk2 as well.
