Intake manifold
I have a 94 gsr. I plan on putting a turbo in it next summer. Some ppl have benn telling me to buy a itr intake manifold or a skunk 2 intake manifold made for the itr to convert it to single stage vtec, is it worth it, would there be any power gains and would i need any additional parts other than the manifold?
thanks
thanks
Type R manifolds have to be customized to fit.
Get the skunk 2 if you want a new manifold it's made to fit.
Don't forget a Hondata manifold gasket to keep the temps down.

Sometimes the the GSR and Prelude VTECs are referred to as 2 stage VTEC.
High cam, then 2ndary butterfly valves on the intake open. Although it doesn't have anything to do with valves or (ignition or cam) timing, go figure.

My friend has a GSR turbo in his EK.. All it has done is bored .50mm over with JE 9.0:1 pistons, Eagle rods, RC 440 injectors, (JG Edelbrock manifold), RevHard T3/T04E hybrid, and Hondata 2 running ontop of a P28... It's best is 11.8@120 full interior daily driven on MT 24.5"x13x9.5 slicks.. Next year comes the sleeved motor hehehe..
