i have a shitbox d15b8(8 valves of fury) and an extra d15y5 IM. it looks similar to the y8 IM and has a much bigger TB, BUT the ports on my d15 head are smaller than the ports on the y5 IM. so my question is: will i see any benefit from adding a bigger TB and larger runners if its not port-matched? surely it couldnt be worse than it is now right? i plan on getting a y8 longblock asap, but i have to make due with the d15b8 for now.

in the process of installing it now. might have to use my old fuel rail, but ill get it on there.

 

just got it done, something isnt right tho. i noticed a big difference in throttle responce, but it feels like its bogging in the midrange, i had to use the d16 fuel rail, and i used the FPR from the d16 also. im going to switch them now and see if it makes a difference.
