the story is my girls car got broking in to, for her stereo. and the wires got riped up and .she has a 00 civic . all lights work orther then the insturment light and the climate control . i checked all fuses. the lights are the ones that light up at night . in a si there amber . she has a ex, so there white. just so you know what lights i'm talking about. thanks alot

 

First off, make sure none of the wires are exposed and possibly touching one another..if they already were and you turned on the headlights, then you could have mistakenly sent power to the dimmer circuit blowing out the diodes in the instrument cluster.. I've seen this done a dozen times with do it yourself stereo installers.. only way to determine this is to remove the cluster and check illumination inputs and diode circuits with a DVOM(digital volt ohm meter)..
