is puttin in springs easy... i've never done it before but im pretty good with doin stuff myself... i know i need a spring compressor... anything i really need to know.. i got totiko springs and struts for 400$.. and i dont wana wast money on installing them...thanks
Having an air impact wrench helps tremendously. If not, be sure you have a Johnny Bar. Be prepared to use a torch to take out siezed bolts, and replace them. Also, it is a good idea to coat the bolt threads with anti-sieze.

this happend with my cx before. we had the hardest time, but ended up using a torch to cut off the whole lower control arm and finding another pair at the junk yard. this was before i got a air compressor and a 1/2" snap on impact wrench.
It took me about four three hours to one side the first time I intalled my front shocks.
Cutting collar, forgot to put top washers under the shock tower, etc. Now it takes 30 minutes for each front side. I know because I've been under there three times. The first time is the hardest, then cake afterwards.

Leave your hood up when you lower your car afterwards! The rears are OK, because nothing is over top of the rear towers.
Leave the hood up and push up and down for about one minute. Even if you know you did everything right. Just is case. Don't want to dent your hood, or damage your CF hood.

I went down and rented a spring compressor from Kragen today, but i cant fit the damn things in between the coils of the springs. Do i need to get a special one for imports? Since the compressor didnt work, I decided to remove the nut at the top of the strut with a jack under the lower control arm in the front, and the **** got wedged in there. Turns out I BENT the ******* damper fork and now the whole assembly is stuck in there. HELP ANYONE>!>!

What now? LoL. I think the fork bent when I was trying to hammer out the damper fork bolt. I was hammering it because the bolt was wedged in there from the force of the spring trying to un-compress(?).
Can i bend it back, or do i need a new one?

I had the same problem get the spring compressor to work. It wouldnt fit between the spring coils. You shouldnt be trying to take the spring off until you have the entire spring/strut assemble pulled off the car though. There are the three upped bolt that you get to from inside the engine bay. Then the lower bolt holding the fork that is holding the strut. I had to have my dad stand on the rotor to push it down while I beat that bolt out. It was kinda a PITA but not to bad. Once you get that whole assemble out, you can work on compressing the spring.
