Default installing axle

i can't get the passenger side axle to go all the way in on my 93 prelude Si.... it lines up with the splines and starts to go in, but stops shy by about 1.5 inches or so.... is this normal? you just have to keep tryin? or does this mean the circlip needs to be replaced? Any tricks to getting the axle in?

I have a good method its called the yank 'n push

the cv joints are floating assemblies so all you do is yank on the outer end and push it towards the car, this will bang it in.

I have done it everytime and is a snap.

you can try and hammer it in. just make sure you take the right precautions to not f-up the splines.

It is hard to get in all the way bcuz of the snap ring on it. What I have done many times to get axels in is make sure you have it aligned PERFECTLY straight from underneath the car and have a friend use a rubber mallet lightly hammer it in. When you hammer it if it does not go in it is bcuz it is not perfectly straight and lined up properly. Once it is it will go right in, you just need to get past that snap ring.
