Default Installing a AEM V2 on a 2000 Si

My question is if you have to replace the motor mount that AEM says you have to. They do supply you with a replacement. The pictures in the instructions looks like you really don't have to. It seems you might have to do it for it to fit properly. Anyone install one before?

I don't think you have a S2000 V2 you probab ly have one for a B-Series. Thats where you have to replace the motor mount. You don't have to replace it on the S2000 or you may have the worng instructions. Make sure you have kit #24-6104

Sorry I got dislectic. Yeah you have to install the motor mount to install the V2 or there is not enough room for the pipe to pass through to the fender well.

why would they include a new motor mount if it didn't fit through the fender well? That makes no sense. it allows the tube clearence over the exisiting mount by replacing it (the new one is kinda cut-out)

It passes through the lower portion of the fender well not through the top like the normal cold air. If you have seen any of the the intakes cold air or V2 on a Integra it follows that path.

Thanks. I installed it. Wasn't that hard. It was a tight fit. You can definitely feel a difference. Sounds pretty cool after 7000 rpm. Kinda sounds like a turbo spooling
