Hey, my first time post. I just installed the EDFC to the Flex system on an EK.
when running the wires through the passenger side firewall grommet, i had to take out the battery. Upon reinstallation everything ran fine and i drove around for about 20 minutes playing with the trickest toy I've ever seen. Then I park it in the garage, turn the key to off. i then put the key back in to start the car up again ( i wanted to pull further into the garage) and the car went dead. Is this due to me removing the battery and is something i shouldn't worry about or is it a wiring problem. For the power I wired the EDFC as follows:

I wired the ground to the chasis, spliced the cigarette lighter yellow wire for the acc wire...I spliced the white/blue wire from my stereo for the always on power, and spliced the red/black wire from my hazard switch for the dimmer control.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

 

Sounds like you've got a short somewhere, or your alternator just puked.

I Figured it out....simple fix that was staring me in the face....My Negative Battery cable was corroded and all it needed was some dremel attention.

 

Glad to hear you got it fixed... Hope you aren't dragging the car (only say that because we've run Tein suspension for with and without the EDFC and the Tein's rebound rates suck)... Not a big deal, just a real pain in the *** with higher hp FI street cars that already have problems with traction...
