I recently installed a phantom slip...I can upshift into all gears.
When i down shift from 3rd to second it wont go into gear. Tranny worked fine before this install.
If i double and sometimes triple clutch the pedal itll go in sometimes. If i come to a stop it will go into second. I was just wondering if anyone has come across this before.

 

I hate the feeling of just putting the transmission back together and reassembling the car when something goes wrong... like a sick, nausea... bleh!

Something may not have been assembled in the transmission correctly. Maybe the shift-piece, shift forks (could be bent, they should have been checked while the gearbox was apart).

Is there any problem upshifting hard into 2nd? If so, there's a possibility that the 1st/2nd synchro is going dead. Does it grind when attempting to downshift or not? Did you use new oil?

nope no problems upshifting into second. Used New honda mtf. No grinding also when down shifting(trying to down shift) into second. I did inspect the trans when it was on the bench but maybe i missed something. Need more suggestions guys if you have em.
Also if it turns out to be a syncro does anyone have a jdm suppier that they can put me in contact with?
