install a cold air

underneath?? ...i'm not quite sure about what you're asking. why don't you install it according to the manufacturer's installation method. it was designed that way for more efficient air-flow and performance. you will run into other problems along the way if you modify the CAI pipe or modify/extend the CAI pipe to run underneath the engine.
i also have an AEM v2 CAI, but on a 2000 Civic. the CAI pipe runs along the side, where the stock air box used to be and installing the CAI is super easy and you should already have the installation manual when you bought the CAI, should you need any help along the way.

when you put in a cold air its right beside your hot engine. theres a way to make the pipe go down in front, but you have to move your battery and such. im needin to know how that would work.

post pics and you'll get better responses. it should be installed the way it tells you to in the manual
