three words, that is all i have to say.
Waste Of Time.......but this is only my opinion
also hyundai has weak chassis to start off with let alone cutting on it and modifiying its structure
also where are you gonna find springs to support your new found horsepower and its ability to go a lot faster than it was designed to

Hyundai used a lot of recycled Mitsubishi stuff in their earlier cars. Try the Mirage and see if they look similar. Some used a 1.8 DOHC and possibly the 2.0 NA from the Eclipse would fit too. Just a few thoughts without actually looking at any of these cars to see if they are anything alike.
I have seen the 4g63 in the hyundai chassis before but I dont know where. It can be done and that would be the ultimate street sleeper. If you are mechanically inclined and have funding and resources to put something like that together I would say do it. Keep us posted with lots of pics.

engine mounts
axles
shift linkage issues
electrical mayham (unless you dont care about anything in the dash, then its not very hard)
i dont think putting a gsr is worth it, if you wanted to put something in thats crazy, put something with more power, cause either way you need a lot of custom work, so you might as well have all the custom work done on a good motor rather than a mediocre one.

an engineswap on an older Hyundai is pretty common, I hear.
And, who says Hyundais have a weak chassis?

comparitavely speaking... they arent intended to be put under much stress, ie. the kind of stress high horespower motors create.
