Inquiry: Difficulty Level In Performing A Battery Relocation
It's not that hard. Just figure out where you want your battery, and make sure you use at least 2 gauge wire with bunches of strands for your + and gnd wires.
What chassis would you be performing it on? Common 92-00 routing would be running 2g wire or larger from the starter and fuse box in through a firewall insert under the battery along passenger side. The wire would run through the plastic interior panels of course below the right side of the passenger seat. The ground would be chassis mounted. You have many routes to choose when it comes to tray and mounting point. There's many writes up for chassis specific relocations, the search bar is your friend.
Just did that very thing in my Type R Integra but I relocated the Battery from the Truck to where the Shins would be if a Passenger was in my car. Car is a Sports Sedan here in Australia. Now the reason I did this was because I only had 12.4 volts on the Orange Guage on the Dash (Orange is a brand of Tyre Management system with Digital Volt read out). So with the Battery in the Trunk there was 12.4 volts and on Track the engine would only rev to 8800. Now with the Battery Lead much shorter it's 14.3. Plus I wanted a little more left side weight. Not that made much of a difference as I replaced the Battery with a Rivers Run half size (sealed) battery. I spoke with an Auto Electrician and he said the cable originally used was a little lite for the length. So you need to talk with some one and find out the correct Cable size for the length you wish to use.
