Default inner tie rod/boot grease question

I'm workin on my 92 civic hatch and it has a tad bit of play on the passenger side inner tie rod. I looked inside the boot and it looks like there is hardly any grease in there. what kind of grease are you supposed to use for this? I was told that you can use the white litheum grease!? doesn't sound right so I thought I would ask on here. also do I HAVE to replace the inner tie rod right now. I'm really short on cash and just woundering if I am ok to drive it for a while. the car does shake a bit at around 55-65 or so but then it goes away after about 70 don't know if this is due to a worn inner tie rod or not but thought it was worth checking out. thanks

I use wheel bearing grease myself. The shake issue maybe related to an unbalanced tire. I would get your tires balanced and check the tire pressures.
