Default Injector wiring problems. Pictures included.

Purchased this car last year, have since been converting it from ricer to normal vehicle.
Along the way I always find problems and as usual. Today I was installing osme new injector clips and noticed the previous owner had hacked all the injector clip harnesses and rewired them...

[real good job right...]

soo as Im putting the new clips on I have all but, one done and have been heat shrinking what he had messed up and actully soldering...
and I notice unlike normal where the black and yellow wires were all facing the distributor side of motor when plugged in the number one cylinder was the opposite.

[just like my fathers GS-R clip in the above picture]

The car seemed to run fine with the wires the way they were before, I put 2000 miles on it.
is there a way I can check to figure out which is which?
and if so which prong on the injector is ground switched/power?

[here is what Im am working with as of now]

Please help me out guys and thanks

Ohmed them out and this is what I got...
My car. Left side

Right side

GS-R Left

Gsr Right

The ground side of the injectors should have a very high or infinite resistance, as a NPN transistor inside the ECU will control this.

You can wire them completely backwards and they will still work, after all it is a solenoid, nothing special about it, except now power is going through the other side to the driver.

The injector wire harness will have a common color power, and a different ground color for each injector driver, with the key in the ON (II) position, you should have battery voltage available at each injector power wire, and nothing at the ground when you are testing the connector itself.

Is this something I should even be worried about, will changing this effect anything at all?

I guess its good I had noticed this being all the wiring he had done was just twisted wires...
alright well If its going to make a difference I will change the +/- if not I guess Ill leave it the way it is.

I appreciate the help.

Make sure your wiring is SOLID, and soldier it and cover it good. If you have high resistance in your injector wires, this translates to less usable power at the injector, which means a longer duty cycle to make up for it, which is not a good thing.

No it really wont make a difference at all. But I'm **** when it comes to wiring, so it has to be right, simply because this makes diagnosing electrical problems easier.

i bought this car and the hack pretty much made his own harness.
Twisted wires, solderless. Im doing my best to bring this thing from Ls S/c ricer to a normal car again.
thanks for your help I will prolly just keep the wires all b/y the opposite and take note if it.

thanks for all the help, couldnt appreciate it more.
