Informative write for non-Honda owners....
could you guys lend me some of your knowlegdge/research on......
VTEC, B Series Motors, Honda factory numbers....I.E. HP/TQ 1/4mi times, and any other information that you feel is "misrepresented" by ignorant non-honda owners.
This is for another forum, because I feel that they are not informed enough to make the conclusions that they are coming to.
Thank you,
Eric Urness

VTEC - varable timing electronicly controled - most vtec motors this engages at 5,400 RPM's. Great technology.
B Seriers motors is just a section of motors that honda has made, many very poplular due to high RPM horse power, and high horse power per liter. Some fall short in TQ.
Many hybrid hondas w/ stock engine can hit high 13's. Of course N/A buld-up could result in low 9's. No nitrious, no turbo, no FI.
Of course this does NOT explain very well, I am in a rush. Many members on honda-tech love performance, not much for body kits and useless parts. But as all car owners their are people who spice up their cars poorly, and them a bad name, many cases honda! If you truly learn why most of us love honda is because the technology that is involved, and the basic tunning fact to gain much performance. I consider something such as vtec and replacement for displacement.
I have nothing agianist domestic cars, many are very fast, but agian many are very slow. It goes hand and hand, for better performance all engine need modification. Excluded the high-end expensive exotics!
EDIT: From the looks of it, you have a badass neon, what number you got, dyno 1/4?
