Default info on squish zones?

what are the pros and cons of larger or smaller squish zones, and what seems to be an optimal squish clearance in a Honda motor? 83mm bore, flat top pistons, in case it matters.

Default Re: info on squish zones?

anybody?
I know more squish prevents det, but why?
I also know it creates more turbulence enhancing the atomization of the fuel/air.
But how much squish is too much, or too little? What seems to be a good squish clearance in Honda motors?
