Default Info needed for SOHC Turbo build

Well guys , i am now going to enter the realm of the turbo . A friend of mine has a Civic hatchback VTI ( japanese model 1500cc VTEC) and we are going to build it up to be a turbo mini-monster . But since i am a DOHC ALLMOTOR man , this turbo sh*it is new stuff to me !

So i have a few questions :-

now we will build this 1500 VTEC turbo , but is it possible to fit D16 SOHC VTEC parts in the D15 ( like B16-B18 parts swapping ) ?
can the D16 crank fit in ?
can a D16 turbo kit ( e.g Greddy , drag , etc ) manifold fit onto the D15 head ?

What size intercooler are you guys with Civics running ?
What size turbo do you recommend ?
Are D15/D16 cam interchangeable ?

Default Re: Info needed for SOHC Turbo build (Short_Shifter)

the manifold from the d16 will fit the d15. when i was turbo'd on my d16y7 i used an old dsm intercooler for my greddy kit worked fine. turbo wise the greddy is a good street kit and drag, rev hard fmax are more for like drag racing. if u want to drag race the car don't go with the greddy. i don't think the crank from the d16 will work in the d15 but i'm not sure. try i/m'ing mista bone he is a d-series guru i'm sure he would know. also chk out this new m/b they have some good info there http://pub34.ezboard.com/bhondadseries
