Default Increase the stroke of an engine?

Most people would rather tune their engine for higher RPMs, in order to do so they reduce their stroke. Now I'm wondering, how do you reduce the stroke of an engine or how do you increase the stroke of an engine?

I want to if it would be possible to increase the torque of a civic by increasing the stroke of the engine. I want a Civic engine that can deliver good low end torque so that it can get better fuel economy, though I'm wondering if I'd have to change out the ECU if I were to make any physical modifications to the engine itself.

to increase the stroke of the engine you would have to replace the crankshaft allong with the correct length of connecting rods and propapby custom pistons as well.

unfortunatly unless you have a DOHC B-series engine there is no such option for a single cam civic d-series engine that would be worth it.

you should look into a engine swap.
