inconsistent clutch engagement
i have a 2001 integra type-r w/ stock clutch (33,000mi.)
i am seeing inconsistent clutch engagement. about 90% of the time, the clutch engages normally. but sometimes, it feels as though the clutch partially grabs. i get a "rubbery" feel. i have only noticed it while starting from a stand still.
would anyone have any idea as to what the problem might be? thanks in advance!

it seems that my problem is just that...i haven't flushed/bled it since getting the car. and having been on the track, that probably created some bubbles within the system.
for reference to this problem see this thread in the integra type-r forum:

past:
well, we ended up bleeding the clutch that weekend. as predicted, the reservior was full of muck. fluid was very dark and like "molasses". unfortunately, the problem of inconsistent engagement persisted.
present:
i just took the car into acura today and they were able to diagnose the problem. they ended up replacing the entire clutch slave cylinder including the fluid line to the master cylinder. apparently, the slave seals wore out and muck and air was getting into the line. at the times when i would feel the inconsistent engagment, i would depress the clutch again. thereafter, the clutch would engage smoothly. the acura technician indicated that by doing this, i was essentially "pumping" the system back to normal pressure. after ~ 10 or so starts from stops, the inconsistent engagement would come around and again to temporarily remedy the problem, i would have to again "pump" it back by fully disengaging the clutch.
the clutch works just like new, and all costs were covered under warranty.
* i've read and spoken with many integra owners and most of them, who got the car fixed under warranty, actually ended up having the throwout bearing replaced. i'm just hoping that this problem will not be coming around the corner.
thanks for all the replies and i hope this thread helps others out.
