when, you turn the key on with engine off, does CEL come on. If not, may have ECU issue.

Also, have you checked to see if you're getting signal to ignitor from ECU while cranking? Will need a logic probe or graphing meter for this.

Could you have the wires connected incorrectly? Not questioning your work, but I have seen seasoned technicians do this and not think about it...

to totally reset ECU, just remove both battery cables from battery and touch them together to discharge system totally and reconnect cables to battery. Resetting ECU will probably not help. You need to check the signal to and from the ignitor that I talked about earlier.

Hope this helps

BTW, like your name. What's it run in the quarter?

what happens, exactly, when you try and start your car?

and have you performed any engine mods or added any electronic components to your engine (MSD, etc) ?

well when i try to start it i just turns over normal like its wanting to start...but im not getting any spark..got fuel and got comp. all the way accross...just no spark... this is the second time this has happened but last time it was the coil so i ordered an MSD coil (again) and bought a new ignitor thinking that would solve my problem but im just simply not getting any spark... and engine mods..well i have a few but only an MSD coil for my ignition..

aww boy..you gotta MDS eh ? I bet that thing is the culprit. You *might* have killed your ecu somehow/someway. I've had a couple past customers send me their ecu who had an MSD unit on their car, they say their car wouldnt start and they thought the problem could be fixed by reprogramming their ecu.....nope....the MSD blew *something* out inside the ecu. I was never able to find out what exactly, but the MSD definitely cause the issue, and I'm thinking the same happend to you. But before thinking worse case scenerio...have you checked your spark plugs? Usually dirty/fowled up spark plugs are culprits in a car not being able to start/hard starting.

I was gonna say, try a different ecu in your car, but you -might* damage that one! If your motor is mostly stock (no internal engine work) and naturally aspirated (no NOS or turbo), I say CHUCK the MSD unit. It's really unnecesary for a stock Honda engine.

ok, your turbo equipped.
Usually running MSD unit with a turbo is a good thing.
Hmm, hard call, but I say you try a different ecu in your car and see what happens, maybe try a 92-95 DX ecu and see what happens. Or unwire the MSD and fully off the stock ignition to see if the MSD is the culprit along with running a different ecu.

what sucks, is this might not even be the issue, maybe something small & retarded is making your car not start......kinda hard to diagnose.

I know...thats what pisses me off..ive been working on the bitch for the paste month every damn day and its starting to royally **** me off... I fig. putting in the New MSD coil and ignitor would be the problem...but its obviously not.. it usuallly is something stupid and small but makes a world of difference..if you might have anymore advice...please post it up....<---and that goes for anybody...im almost in a desperate mode to get it running
