Ignition output signal
Since the search isn't working I thought I would post my question. I have a b16a in a crx and am throwing a code 15 (ignition output signal). My car cranks, but won't start. What are the possible causes and how do I fix this problem? Thanks.
i have the same problem going on with a b 16 swap in a hatch and if i find the cause before you do i willl let you know what it is and i wounld appreciate the same thing my e-mail is gordo1473@aol.com
Code 15 refers to the circuit FROM the ECU which tells the ignitor to fire the coil. I don't think a bad coil can cause that. Bad ignitor, or bad wiring between ECU & ignitor. You can look for loose or corroded wiring connected to the ignitor. Loose/dirty plug at the distributor? Stuff like that.
ok i have replaced the ignition control module and the same thing is happening.we have tracked it down to the injectors are not getting power to them.i dont know if this is a telltale sign of anything but anyones help is appreciated

That's correct, sounds like there are multiple problems. Has he checked his fuses?

we have checked all fuses, relays all i can guess is there is either a ground issueor the like.i get fuel to the rail and nothing through the injectors. injectors are new.

Is the ground wire bolted to the t-stat housing clean and tight?

i have seen SOME cases wehre a bad ecu can cause a code 15, but most often at work i see code 15 caused by the coil beind bad, ESPECIALLY on internal coil setups. btw i work at a honda only repair shop.
