Default is the ignition coil and dist ignitor the same thing??

and if so where can I get the best price for the ignitor?? local dealer wants over $200 plus I have to wait for it to be shipped.

They are not the same. THe igniter should be around $90 at the dealer.

Another word for it is an ICM (ignition control module). This just sends the signal to the coil for amplification.
ECU -> ICM-> COIL-> DISTRIBUTOR-> WIRES-> PLUGS
