Idle PROBLEM... H E L P !!!
My b16a2 starts up really quick no problem and sounds normal, BUT after 1 or 2 seconds it dies. If I start it back up, no problem starting but in 4 seconds it idles from 600-800 RPM irradically and wants to kill, if I give it gas it will stay running, but then wants to die when I let go of the pedal.
1} could be bad gas, just completed the swap and there was 2 yo 87 octane in it.
2} idle screw on throttle body turned up too high? WHICH WAY DO I TURN IT?
3} It is not a vacuum leak, I checked...
Let me know if you have ideas!
THANKS!!!

1) It is entirely possible for old fuel to go bad, especially if it's as old as you say it is. Your entire fuel system could be compromised at this point, so it'd be a good idea to go over the basics like checking the fuel filter and making sure your fuel pressure is up to par.
2) If you're having trouble keeping the idle up, you can try adjusting the throttle body screw counter-clockwise(out) to raise the idle. Turn it in to lower the idle.
3) Vacuum leaks can be hard to track down. I'm not sure what method you used to check for one, but I would attach a vac/boost gauge and see what kind of vacuum you're pulling at idle.
