Default idle loping

hey.
engine is running fine after the rebuild. i get a funny loping thing going on at idle. i get a pretty good and steady idle at most times dead on at 750 then other times i get a loping up and down kind of rhythmic up and down 100 or so rpm. i have not yet fine tuned the hondata but i'm running open loop on my original fuel maps. wideband showing maybe just a tad rich.

I see my tps reads about .53 V (about 2-3%). its always read about that anyways and never caused a problem. other peoples cars i have tuned i have seen anywhere from 0.46 to 0.55.

any ideas? vacuum is good, no signs of leaking.

no, stock cams just new pistons, rods and headgasket/studs. had new valve seals put in too.

any ideas about what can cause a funny idle loping like that? I get no cel and the hondata has a green light and hondalogger shows nothing suspicious.

seems like it was my tps. i never changed its position before but somehow my new built engine is sensitive to the voltage there being off a bit. voltage was 0.55. i wacked it with a hammer a few times to move it and got it to 0.49 and that seems to have solved the surging idle.
