72 and 74 code (miss fire in #2 and #4 cylinder)

I took a look at the plugs and they are nice and white (that means running lean correct?)

I told him to replace the plugs asap and see how that does. His problem is that when ideling it bounces from 1k to 2k back and fourth. Also his check engine light blinks while the car is running...

Any other thing that might cause this bad idel?

The CEL blinking while the engine is running indicates a "catalyst damaging misfire" is in progress.

 

What can cause this misfire?

timing?
bad cap/rotor?

 

that happeened to my friend b4 but his prob was his motor mount broke and it messed up something else.

 

I usually start by checking the basics. Compression, fuel and spark.
