Default IACV cleaning......screen (searched)

Sup, I'm in the process of cleanin my iacv in an attempt to solve an idle problem. And from searching i've noticed that there should be a screen on one of the holes. Mine has no screen, so i pulled the one from my sink, how would i go about gettin that sucker on/in there where its supposed to be? Is the screen neccessary? I would think so. Thanks

Not really.
From my other post :
The car will idle normally, and then drop down to around 4-500 and sit there then jump back up to around 1000. Sometimes when i through the clutch in comin to a stop, it'll drop down to normal, jump up to about 1500 and then slowly come back down. While driving, i get some hesitation under 3000k; it loses some power between 1800-3k and when it hits 3k it hits vtec (i dont have vtec).
I just put it all back together and took it for a test drive. It idles and accels a lil smoother, but it still has the same problems. Next i'm gonna go through and readjust my valves and check timing, but i'm stumped, maybe my HG is goin?
