I had a iacv error code and so its off and been cleaned. Before refitting I wanted to test it was working corrected. The wires for it from the loom had been damaged so I wanted to double check.

Accross the IACV the resistance is 13.5 ohms. I think this is within tollerence? between 8 and 15?

With the ignition on im getting 11.5v on the plug. However the valve at this point doesn't seem to open. I would have expected with voltage it would open - closed with none.

Apparently you should hear a click when the voltage is applied?

 

You need to ground the IACV wire going to the ECU and then listen for the click.

 

I've tested and works good. cleaned it and put a new gasket on it.

Refitted and same error 14. Been searching around and cannot find much. Thinking of testing another ecu? Any one know of things to look at before I do this?

 

Test the wires going to the ECU.
