My Machine Shop gave me a "Bum" head to practice on....
He said if it looks like ****, Hit it with a hammer, it's no good anyways, Just for practice...
I have a basic Home Depot DREMEL kit that I've had for a while, but want to learn the "BASICS" of just cleaning up the Ports on OEM heads....
ie - The NEW ITR heads.... Those HORRIBLE PnP jobs done by Honda and the casting "Ribs" if you will in the middle of the ports....
Can anyone give me ideas of "techniques" or proper DREMEL bits to buy at Home Depot to just hack away at the Practice Head, b/c I don't want to **** up a BRAND NEW ITR Head....
Thanks...

Here's what I've done so far....
Again, I have NEVER done this before, nor do I have many bits for my dremel to properly get this done...
But, here goes... Please bear with me... It is 2:20am and I just finished...
Nice little comparisson between Stock port (Left) and My handy work (Right)

Another comparisson with the Flash...

Stock Port vvv

Clean Port vvv

Shedding some Light onto the Subject...

Can you spot which one is My handy work???

How about Now???

Constructive Criticism/suggestions are appreciated... As I am wanting to further my knowledge, but Please, keep RUDE comments to yourselves or PMs....

Nah, It's a Brown "Sleeve" that goes over the Rubber Cylindrical attachment that you tighten and it expands to hold onto the sleeve.... They are kind of Gritty adn I had to go easy for a while till they got worn, then I could speed it up a LITTLE... VERY LITTLE.. then I smoothed everything out...
I'll try to find a pic of the attachment...

Here ya go...

in the pic it is the VERY top attachment above the last cutting disc....
The screw atop of it by tightening expands the rubber cylinder enabling it to "Grab Hold" of the Grinding Sleeve....
I had like 4 sleeves....

I work in a machine shop I try dat. all it do is to take the dirt off an look polish. I use another tool dat spins I put a grinding wheel a small one and Is 100x faster.I dit the same with my intake. It runs better. I measured the head and intake. the intake hole is way smaller. Soon I will cut the intake to be the same as the head.

So, I got a couple more bits from HD today and I went a little further into the Ports...
I got 60 GRIT sleeves to grind away the casting material, and 120 GRIT to smooth them up a little bit better, and once achieving a nice smooth even surface, I went with an Aluminum polishing Brush...
They are DEFINITELY much smoother than OEM castings, but without a Flowbench, there is no telling whether or not I did any good...
But from the Eye, and Touch, it seems to be an improvement on OEM casting ports....
My only problem areas were where the Valve guide comes out into the ports... I cannot seem to figure out HOW to get the Dremel into that tight area...
Any suggestions or Tips from the Gurus; (Rocket, Max_CFM, Big Teggie)...
Thanks...
