Default I need valvetrain help

So two weeks ago my car developed a lovely tick coming from the valvetrain. Bought a FSM, and went ahead and did a valve adjustment this afternoon.

Intake side was at .008in all across the board, brought them back to .004. Exhaust was .009 all across, brought them back to .006in. The tick is still there, so I'm assuming that it isn't a valve related tick. Now I have no idea what it could be.

This is on a 1994 Integra RS with 150,000 miles. I get good oil pressure, timing belt and water pump are only 45k miles old. What else could it possibly be? The car still pulls hard, still runs perfect, aside from that annoying tick that rises and falls with the engine speed.

I'm really frustrated here

Did you do the valve adjustment while the engine was *hot* ?

.004/.006 seems a little loose for a high mileage motor, i'd try .003/.005

If it still doesnt go away... i dont know

Are you adjusting the correct valves at proper TDC configurations?

Also, buy a cheap mechanics stethoscope to pinpoint the tic. They work extremely well.

good luck,
