Hi Guys, some help,

Hey i just got a 2005 RSX Type-S and i have almost 400 miles on it. Anyways, i was on the road today and i was stopped at a stop light. When the light turned green i took off and i shifted at 7000 RPM (maybe more i dont know, but not redline at all) from first to second, and maybe the same from second to third and i think 6000 from third to fourth give or take. I have only done that once in the 400 miles that i have driven and i probably wont do it again. My question is if it hurt my engine at all? Im really worried and i just want you guys to calm me down a little. Im a newbie, sorry. Thanks.

 

no man, stop overreacting, as long as you didn't misshift, everything is cool

 

id put some more miles on it and shift correctly before you get hard on it, itll last longer also if you let everything wear in.
