I need help on Y8 Intake manifold to y7
ok im having some problems with the y8 IM to y7... i dont know where some of these hoses go?
in this first pic i dont know where this hose goes too... Where does the EVAC/Purge vaccum source go too???
and where does these hoses go too??? the one on the left too the IAC Valve... its underneath the TB... theres two of them...
right now the car is leaking alot of coolant... i think i didnt get enough of the gasket off... its leaking right from the IM gasket, where the big coolant line is at on the IM... and also the rpm jumps really high... i checked out the y8 to y7 swap site and it said that i could a vaccum hoses leak or i could have swapped the TPS and MAP sensors around
... if anyone could help me out that would be great... im looking to finish this tomorrow...

I might no be any help but, i capped mine off when i put the y8 on my z6...
And for the high revving, and the coolant leak, i had the same problem you didnt take all the old gasket off, so coolant leaks, and it suck in air, therefore causing it to rev higher then it should..... but if you have a vaccum leak on the hoses spray carb cleaner on the hoses and if it revs higher then it was before then you have a leak on your hose... Casue when you spray the hose with carb cleaner it sucks it in and causes it to rev, so it helps you find out exactly were the leak is..... jsut my two cents.....

thanks.... did u cap off the two underneath the TB too??? and how did u get off the old gasket...
